Are you looking for something fun to do on the longest day of the year?

Well, look no further. On June 21, 2011, the Fête de la Musique comes to Vancouver
for the first time.

The Fête de la Musique is a unique live celebration for all music lovers.

Local musicians, amateurs and pros alike, will be performing in the streets of Gastown all evening. From baroque to rock, all genres and all levels of ability will be represented. Over 200 bands – yes, you read that right – will be giving 1-hour performances (not all at once, thank goodness!)

The best part? It is entirely free. No tickets, no admission, just fun. All you have to do is show up in Gastown between 5:00 and 10:00pm, and enjoy the show.
