Partners

Make Music Vancouver is entirely free and entirely volunteer-based event. This is why we depend on partners to make it happen. We would like to thank our partners and sponsors for helping us make this edition a successful event.

Yaletown Business Improvement Association

The Yaletown Business Improvement Association (BIA) is a non-profit society with a mission to enhance its members’ business opportunities by leading action to improve the Yaletown environment and to promote Yaletown as the place to trade and visit. There are over 900 businesses in Yaletown and over 530 commercial properties in the area that make up the membership of the Yaletown BIA.

Formed in 1999, it is funded by a special municipal levy that is paid by all commercial properties in the designated 20 block Yaletown area. This levy forms the baseline of the YBIA’s budget although it also acts as seed money to enhance programs that generate sponsorship money, in kind donations, value added initiatives such as strategic partnerships and media attention. If your business or commercial property is located within the 20 block Yaletown area (shown in pink in the map below), you are automatically a member of the Yaletown Business Improvement Association.

The membership and Board of Directors are comprised of both property owners and business tenants who share input to develop the direction and goals of this organization. The YBIA encourages active participation of all members through the Board of Directors, YBIA Committees, meetings, networking and special events.

Public Dreams

What we do best is the creation of customized, immersive experiences. 25 years of bringing magic to events large and small has taught us that it’s not the individual elements that make an event memorable. Rather, it’s the way that those elements work together to create a story that totally immerses the guests in an experience. Theme, tone and narrative are expressed in customized set décor, performances and interactive elements.

Driven by the mandate of our charitable work, our for-hire services directly support our community events by providing much needed funding. Your choice to hire Public Dreams is a choice to support local artists, artisans and performers who we hire to help bring the vision to life.

Whatever your creative needs, Public Dreams exists to turn dreams into reality. Every great event starts with a conversation, so we invite you to get in touch. We’ll be happy to provide you with more information and ways that we can help support you in making yours an event that stands out.
