Pre Party

Celebrations start at 2 pm during which artists will be performing in random locations across the city – such as hotel lobbies, skytrain stations, etc… !

Location: Shangri-la on June 21st, 2012

DJ George Venetis music sample

Performing from 2pm to 4pm

Yaletown + Gastown Bonanza

5pm, musicians will gather up and invade Yaletown and Gastown. In Yaletown, dozens of artists will be invading the area between Nelson and Davie, on Hamilton and Mainland. We will be even holding an official road closure on Mainland!

After Parties

The street performances end at 10 pm, but the celebrations continue! Due to city bylaws, they will be moved out of the streets and into the bars and restaurants.

PARTICIPATING BANDS BY MUSIC GENRES

More than 130 bands will perform in Yaletown (same in Gastown). Here is the list by music genres of the registered bands.
Make Music Vancouver wants to be a show case of all the local talents of Vancouver. Bands are both amateurs or professionals. They will all perform for free for an hour set in the streets of Vancouver.
